Seeing Better and Smiling More: The FPIP Community Medical and Dental Missions for Its Host Communities

Responding to clamor from barangay officials from its six (6) host communities, First Philippine Industrial Park (FPIP) with the support and cooperation of "Kapamilya" Asian Eye Institute (AEI) facilitated back to back medical and dental missions to address eye and dental problems of some 240 residents.

The five (5) - hour (9:00am to 2:00pm) eye screening by five doctors from AEI with the help of volunteers from the host communities, FPIP and its locators Ibiden and Microtel, helped assess and address ailments of 142 patients. The eye mission was done at the covered court of Pantay Bata, Tanauan City, on October 23, 2009.

The following day, October 24, 2009, was another five (5) – hour mission that addressed dental problems of 98 residents – patients.  The mission was by four (4) very experienced dentists lead by Dr. Erwin Dignadice again with the help of volunteers from the host communities, FPIP and some of its locators that included Nissin, Komyo, SGL, First Philec, Naigai & UAM.

These twin – missions were realized thru the leadership of Community Relations (ComRel) Manager Roger de Guzman of FPIP and the support and cooperation of the host communities, FPIP and its locators.
